I am new to this kind of thing. Does anyone know a source of fabric to sew children's clothing like that seen in ready to wear? I like to sew but find that most fabric shops now cater to qulters. I have been told that hardly anyone sews anymore! Horrors, when it is so relaxing and enjoyable. Please let me in on the secret if you have a good source of fabric. Thanks very much

Hi Kay!!!
keep an eye on Wal-Mart's $1.00 and $2.00 a yard table! each WM may get something different in .. so check them all! I know when a new delivery is due and what day it is expected.. I got friendly with the girls.
I wait for them to open the box and get first pick. Not all fabric is good but once in a while there is some real treasures in there!
Find a large city.. say Boston as an example, there will be a garment district there, perhaps not as large as NY or LA but still there will be one.
Of course on line has become a great resource!
check out http://www.wazoodle.com/ they have a sale in the morning, every morning!
I will post other links as I think of them.
welcome!
