Can someone help me?
We are giving the niece a cabbage patch doll for Christmas. Specifically a "color Change" style. She has silky hair instead of yarn.

I bought a Butterick pattern #4045. It is solely for cabbage dolls.

The pattern is two sized "16 inch doll" and "20 inch doll" .

I don't know what size I am to make for the doll.

Does anyone know the doll measurements?

They have:
Preemie
Newborn
Baby
Kid

(I don't want to take it out of the box if I don't need to)

I contacted the cpk web site and she said "all dolls are 16 inch" But that can't be true if the 'ages' range from preemie to kid, and also, this pattern is designed for more than one size.

Please help! I want to get started asap! TIA

I should add: logically, I assume I am to make 20 inch. BUT..cpk site said "ALL 'KIDS' are 16" (so, why is the pattern 20 inch also???)

Very confused

I am way past cabbage patch dolls *sigh* so far 2 grandsons.. I love them dearly but a little girl would be nice.

anyway.. here is a site... http://www.angelfire.com/art/dollmemories/cabbagepatch1.html you might email them and ask what the deal is... if you do come back and let us know.. I might get a little girl grand child someday! one can hope.
