Hello,
I'm a newbie and have enjoyed reading about some of you. We're beginning to wonder if we'll have any snow here in Vermont by Christmas. November set records for warmth and parcipitation. Below is a short article about who I am and what I do! I look forward to chatting with everyone from all around the country.

Fragrant Dried Balsam
Sue and husband, Rich, have been producing and selling their fragrant dried balsam for years now. It’s a very hands on, lengthy process before you get the final product that you see in shops. Our balsam comes from trees leftover from logging operations and we prune and thin balsam stands which promotes a healthier and more productive forest.
The finished product is sold by the pound to individuals all over the county- who use it in various creative ways and in 10 ounce bags in shops around New England.
Sue also sews it up into sachets, draft stoppers, quilted hot mats, etc. She gets requests quite often for sachets for wedding favors and gifts. Many use the loose balsam as potpourri in the home, office, car, RV- anywhere- as balsam is an all natural aromatherapy.
The fragrant scent is very long lasting- years in fact. When people pick up a bag of balsam they are reminded of Christmas. When a balsam item or loose balsam is brought home they enjoy the scent year round. Balsam is perfect to give as a gift - as it is also known as the warm friendship herb.
Sue also creates a unique holiday balsam tabletop tree and kissing balls during November and December. They live in Hyde Park, VT. To sum them up - “We’re into balsam!”
SLOW DOWN AND SMELL THE BALSAM! Is their motto.
