The first post I put in as a reply. Sorry. New to this too!:p
Hi, My name is Donna and I use to sew years ago and just got back into it. I am making my first quilt and just bought an embroider machine. All to learn. I am having a great time. I did not know how much I would like it especially the quilting and all the people invovled in quilting. I am taking a purse class right now. That is fun also. Anyway Hello All. Nice to meet everyone!

I am new to this group I just signed up today, I live in Oregon just North of the California boarder. I have been sewing for about 20+ years, and also have a Babylock Ellageo embroidery machine which I just love.
I work full time, am married have two great children which are grown and married, and have two beautiful granddaughters that keep me very busy, along with taking care of 5 acres, 2-horses, 4-dogs, 3-cats, 6000 gallon koi pond oh yeah and chickens, so I keep looking for all that sparetime I keep hearing about that I am supposed to have (oh I almost forgot about the husband) the laundry, dishes, etc, etc, etc, ok he helps with the outside work but there are days when I sware there is NO SPARE TIME:eek: ..
And now that I have you all thinking I am crazy thank you for letting me join your little corner of the world.;)

Hi Kim and everyone, Glad to meet all of you. So how far have you got on you embroidery machine. I haven't done too much because I am new at quilting and making my first quilt. Then I will attack the embroidery machine and serger. Both new from hubby. I got a Brother Disney machine to start. Everyone keeps saying I should have spent more but oh well if it does the job what the hey. I'm happy. The quilt is Thomas the Train for a new nephew on the way and it was the mother's request. So my first quilt I am giving away but I'm taking all kinds of pictures of it. Okay long winded post. Glad to find this forum. Oh and I have bought from Fabrics.com. Can't beat it especially the clearance and sell items. Donna
